Lafayette Econ-O-Wash is equipped with a wide range of high-efficiency front-load washers designed to handle everything from everyday laundry to oversized items. Our lineup includes an extra-large 80 lb. washer extractor, 60 lb washer extracters additional 40 lb. washer extractors and 22 1/2 lb. stainless steel front load washers on bases to facilitate easier loading and unloading.
Our entire drying area features stainless steel Speed Queen dryers with 45- and 55-pound capacities. These dryers are fast, energy-efficient, and gentle on fabrics. Their elevated design makes loading and unloading easy, providing a more comfortable and convenient drying experience.
All machines accept both quarters and dollar coins, with dollar coins providing more drying time for the same value. On-site bill changers add extra convenience for our customers. Thanks to high-speed extraction, clothes retain less moisture after washing.
Located near the entrance, our Wash Alert display provides a real-time overview of machine availability. Color-coded indicators show which washers and dryers are available, in use, or nearing the end of their cycle.
Lafayette Econ-O-Wash Laundry is a locally owned and operated laundromat with deep roots in the Lafayette community. Owned by Jim, who has been active in the laundry industry since 1988, Econ-O-Wash reflects decades of experience combined with a passion for quality and innovation. When Jim discovered this laundromat housed in a historic 1908 bank building, he immediately envisioned a complete transformation—one that would honor the building’s past while introducing modern, high-performance laundry technology.
Over the course of a year-long renovation, the space was carefully restored and reimagined. Original architectural details, including the building’s original 1907 tin ceiling and 11-foot ceiling height, were carefully preserved, allowing the character and craftsmanship of the early 1900s to shine once again. These historic elements now blend seamlessly with state-of-the-art stainless steel Speed Queen washers and dryers, creating a truly unique laundry environment.
Jim lives nearby in Broomfield with his wife and their cat, Moka, and is a proud father and grandfather. You’ll often find him at Econ-O-Wash, staying hands-on and connected with the day-to-day operations.
